Artist's comment
She works downtown, close to a small park where she eats her lunch and watches the city breathe. Is she happy? Some days yes, some days no.
She has worked many years. Enough to feel proud, and enough to feel a little tired. Retirement crosses her mind now and then, like a soft idea waiting for the right moment. Her face is calm, thoughtful, steady. A woman who shows up, does her job, and keeps going. We don’t know everything about her. But we recognize her.
She is simply living her working days.
